Title:
Sr. Manager, Contracts
Responsible for overseeing all contract administration tasks associated with Business Development new business pursuits, to include management of a team of Contract Managers and Specialists assigned. Under broad direction, is accountable for the performance and results of multiple related disciplines or sub-groups within a function. Manages the delivery of functional objectives by providing leadership and direction to managers or professional staff. Participates in the development of functional strategy and may be responsible for global processes and procedures.
Leads and conducts proposal preparation, contract negotiation of highly complex major contract pursuits as either a prime offeror or subcontractor. Serves as primary point of contact for customers. Acts as official company and contracts management representative regarding legal requirements, customer specifications and government regulations including, but not limited to:
- Review performance and proposal requirements to ensure contract is in accordance with legal requirements, customer specifications and government regulations
- Lead contract negotiation and administration for all assigned Government or Commercial Proprietary Information Agreements, Teaming Agreements, Letters of Intent, Memorandum of Understandings, Memorandum of Agreements. Structure contractual terms to reflect business strategy.
- Lead negotiation of complex Government Prime and/or Customer Proposals
- Evaluate and develop alternative solutions to contractual issues
- Perform contractual risk analysis and risk mitigation
- Guide others to solve complex problems; use sophisticated analytical thought to exercise judgement and identify innovative solutions
- Works independently; with guidance in only the most complex situations
- Deal tactfully, professionally and efficiently with Government customer, sponsors, external auditors and KBR senior management
- Maintain current knowledge of and provides guidance on regulations pertinent to Government contracting such as CAS, FAR, DFAR and other relevant regulations
- Demonstrated ability to lead functional teams and direct reports, balancing multiple priorities and ensuring alignment with business goals.
Required Skills:
- Seasoned professional who applies advanced knowledge of theories, principles and concepts in the performance of assigned complex Government and/or Commercial proposals.
- Advanced negotiation skills/techniques and experience.
- Strong customer service orientation with the ability to effectively communicate with all levels of personnel.
- Strong analytical skills and business acumen to make sound decisions/recommendations.
- Strong commitment to integrity and compliance. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong interpersonal skills.
Education and Experience Requirements: Undergraduate degree and 12+ years of experience Federal Government contract management and administration.
Preferred Experience: 3+ years of management experience.
Work Location: Remote work; preferred to be near a KBR office: Houston, Texas; Fulton, Maryland, Lexington Park, Maryland, Huntsville, Alabama.
Basic Compensation:
$143,400 - $215,100
The offered rate will be based on contract affordability and the selected candidate’s working location, knowledge, skills, abilities and/or experience, and in consideration of internal parity.
Additional Compensation:
KBR may offer bonuses, commissions, or other forms of compensation to certain job titles or levels, per internal policy or contractual designation. Additional compensation may be in the form of sign on bonus, relocation benefits, short term incentives, long term incentives, or discretionary payments for exceptional performance.
