What does a successful Clover UK Channel Product Manager do?
Be the key point of contact for Clover UK for all things product:
Engage with the business in their leadership meetings to understand the strategy and where they need product support.
Engage with Product Area Leads (PALs) regularly to understand the roadmap of product delivery + scheduled enhancements.
Lead product-focused business transformation initiatives
Drive PI Planning / Product Delivery for Clover UK:
Triage business requests for product enhancements or new products
Evaluate high level business case (New revenue / Expense save / reduce attrition etc.)
Prioritise against other requests from the business – WSJF (Weighted Shortest Job First)
Ensure alignment with Annual Operating Plans (AOP)
Project Management (PI Planning)
Work closely with PMO to raise Clarity project for the business (provide benefits and use cases)
Engage with Solutions team to get the project impact assessed and obtain HLE. Decide the path forward based on HLE and obtain business approvals.
Sign-off business requirements developed by Solutions team.
Prioritise the project with PALs during weekly prioritisation forum (ensure the project is correctly scored in the tracker and is discussed for intake)
Remain engaged with all teams to ensure delivery is on track and keep business informed of the status
Support business for change implementation
Co-own business P&L and other key objectives
Focus on how to improve Net-New KPI (merchant count)
Improve merchant acquisition (via marketing partnerships etc.)
Provide input into retention and pricing strategies
Manage ongoing merchant maintenance with PALs to address issues and drive resolutions
Evaluate industry news for competitive intelligence
Offer regulatory guidance (Consumer Duty Champion) to the business to ensure compliance
Collaborate on monthly planning and forecasting
What you will need to have:
Proven product management/solutions experience
Commercially minded with strong analytical skills and experience using data to inform product decisions
Ability to make difficult decisions based on the value to customers and overall business in a fast-paced, complex and at times stressful environment
Excellent interpersonal, presentation and communication skills with effective stakeholder management and client management
Experience with working with technical delivery teams
