Technical Advisor- IT Information Assurance
KBR is seeking a Senior Information Assurance Manager to join our team supporting PMA-231 Advanced Programs in Lexington Park, MD. The successful candidate will be the primary customer contact in a dynamic test and evaluation workplace supporting an advanced weapons system test program. The candidate will assess systems and networks and lead a team to achieve mission readiness in the Information Assurance discipline.
This position requires full time onsite work—remote work is not available. The role also entails occasional CONUS travel, estimated at less than 15% annually.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Performs assessments of systems/networks within the networking environment or enclave and identifies where those systems/networks deviate from acceptable configurations, enclave policy, or local policy.
- Maintain strict program contract processes to ensure mitigation of risks and support obtaining certification and accreditation of systems.
- Direct the implementation of required government policy-making recommendations to tailor network design (CFR Part 117 NISPOM, JSIG)
- Involved in performance analyses to validate established security requirements and to recommend additional security safeguards.
- Support the formal Security Test and Evaluation (ST&E) required by each government accrediting authority through pre-test preparations, test and analysis results, and initiate required reports.
- Solve unique and complex problems with a broad impact on business and multiple projects.
- Will have direct reports at the program level to include verification of timecards, oversight of daily tasks/schedules, and input into performance appraisals.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
Citizenship & Clearance: Must be a US Citizen. Top Secret Clearance & a Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) completed within the last 5 years (TS + SSBI).
Education & Experience: BS in a technical field from an accredited college or university and 10 years of experience. AS/AA in a technical field OR Advanced Military School/Training and 14 years of experience. High School Diploma and 18 years of experience. Overall, additional experience/education can be considered in the absence of a formal BS degree.
Certification: Must hold at least one of the DOD 8570- Level 2 Certifications. Eligible Certifications include CompTIA Security+, Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), GIAC Security Essentials (GSEC), Certified Authorization Professional (CAP), Systems Security Certified Practitioner (SSCP), Cisco Certified Cyber Ops Associate, Microsoft Certified: Azure Security Engineer Associate, Certified in Risk and Information Systems Control (CRISC), OR Cybersecurity Fundamentals Certificate.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience in an RDT&E environment
- Experience in the IT field supporting military aircraft/military aviation programs
Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40 hours/week.
Compensation: $128,500-160,000. The offered rate will be based on the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, abilities, and/or experience and in consideration of internal parity.
Additional Compensation: KBR may offer bonuses, commissions, or other forms of compensation to certain job titles or levels per internal policy or contractual designation. Additional compensation may be in the form of a sign-on bonus, relocation benefits, short-term incentives, long-term incentives, or discretionary payments for exceptional performance.
