What you will do:
- Provide hands-on support for existing environments, including software installation, patch installation, upgrades, query writing, configuration, security, system monitoring and tuning, disaster recovery planning, and release deployments
- Manage and upgrade Amazon EKS clusters, and implement tools and automation for build, configuration management, continuous integration (CI), deployment and application monitoring
- Automate and evolve infrastructure, deployment strategies, and testing to support quick turnaround of deployments, and maintain infrastructure as code (IaC) for cloud environments
- Collaborate with Engineering to ensure all relevant Key Performance Indicators are implemented within the monitoring framework
- Participate in all production support activities during incidents and outages, resolve technical issues, and recommend performance and capacity improvements
- Engage in capacity planning, tuning system stability, provisioning, performance, and scaling of the application infrastructure to ensure uninterrupted 24x7 operations
What you will need to have:
- 3+ years of experience with AWS technologies including Elastic Kubernetes, ElastiCache, KMS, VPC, EC2, AutoScaling, Load Balancers, SQL, RDS, Dynamo, PostgreSQL, IAM, S3, CloudWatch, CloudFont, Pilsar, and Elasticsearch
- 2+ years of experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform or AWS Cloud Formation
- 2+ years of experience working with third party vendors
- Current Fiserv systems experience
- Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively, with a strong desire to automate processes and participate in on-call rotation
- Bachelor’s degree in business, management, engineering, or a relevant field, or an equivalent combination of education, work, and/or military experience
What would be great to have:
- 2+ years of experience with containerization technologies such as Docker, or Podman
- 2+ years of experience with Continuous Integration/ Continuous Delivery Like AWS CodePipeline or Azure DevOps
- 2+ years of experience in Linux system administration and bash scripting, with a solid understanding of routing and networking concepts
- Familiarity with Agile development environments, web server configurations (Nginx or Apache), and collaboration platforms like JIRA, Confluence, Wiki, or ServiceNow
