What does a successful Senior Java Developer do?

You will be at the forefront of technological advancements, ensuring our products meet the highest standards of quality and performance.
What you will do:
- Design, develop, and maintain high-quality Java applications while collaborating with cross-functional teams to define software requirements
- Provide broad solution/enterprise architecture experience across data, API, and cloud architectures
- Advance and maintain the company’s Java (JVM) based back-end services that support its digital document delivery offerings
- Demonstrate proven experience with large-scale, complex enterprise integration systems in high availability, high volume, and performant environments
- Apply deep understanding of cloud application design principles (micro-services, 12-factor apps, stateless application meant for cloud, containers, etc.)
- Advance and maintain the company’s software deployment and monitoring infrastructure and make primary contributions to the company’s move to containerization under Kubernetes
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues while implementing and executing unit tests to ensure software quality
- Exhibit strong communication skills, both verbal and presentation, with the ability to mentor and guide junior developers and train other team members
What you will need to have:
- 7+ years of experience in Java development
- 6+ years of experience with Java frameworks such as Spring and Hibernate
- 4+ years of experience in API development using RESTful web services
- Current Fiserv systems or application experience
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, or a relevant field, and/or equivalent military experience
What would be great to have:
- 6+ years of experience with Agile development methodologies
- 5+ years of experience in cloud environments like AWS or Azure
- 5+ years of experience with CI/CD pipelines and tools such as Jenkins
- 5+ years of experience working with SQL databases
- 4+ years of experience with front-end technologies like Angular or React
