Job Posting Description
Responsibilities:
- Will run periodic reports from Cognos or Cost Point to track expiring contracts or Purchase Orders.
- This position requires extensive research to the contract or Purchase Order to ensure that all requirements of the agreement have been fulfilled, all outstanding contractual issues are settled, and all documentation requirements have been met.
- The simple Closeout Process will be used to close fixed-price contracts or Purchase Orders that do not involve property, patents or other closeout activities. The contract or Purchase Order can be closed as soon as the goods or services are received, and the final invoice is paid. Most purchases fall under this type.
- The Formal Closeout Process is used for more complex contracts or Purchase Orders and includes additional activities to ensure that the supplier has fulfilled all its contractual obligations. Requires coordination with the assigned Buyer or Subcontract Administrator to ensure all transactions are complete and compliant.
Required Education, Experience & Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, business administration or related discipline from an accredited college or university
- Must have experience with supply chain processes and ideally be in a procurement/logistics/supply chain MOS and separating as an E-5 or above
- Working knowledge of MS Office Suite – Outlook, Word, Excel, and Power Point
- Ability to develop and maintain professional relationships with peers, suppliers, customers, and contribute to a professional work environment by demonstrating integrity, teamwork, and a positive attitude
- Strong communication skills
