Program Summary
KBR leads the government services world contingency market by providing responsive, full-service logistics support to forces deployed around the world under the Logistics Civil Augmentation Program contract (LOGCAP). KBR’s enduring mission support of the LOGCAP program dates back to 1992 when we served as the contract’s original prime contractor. Today, we have a workforce of over 6,000 people representing 40 nationalities who perform work on the contract in 14 countries.
Job Summary
As a Food Services Supervisor, you will direct and supervise food service teams on LOGCAP missions, ensuring adherence to military standards. Further, you will manage resources efficiently to provide quality meals crucial for mission success.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Supervise day-to-day operations of the food service establishment, including kitchen, dining area, and service staff.
- Recruit, train, schedule, and manage a team of kitchen and service staff, fostering a positive work environment and ensuring high standards of performance.
- Collaborate with Sous chefs and other staff in menu development, pricing strategies, and maintaining consistency in food quality and presentation.
- Monitor inventory levels, oversee ordering of supplies, and manage stock rotation to minimize waste and ensure adequate supplies for service.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations, conducting regular inspections and implementing corrective measures as needed.
- Maintain excellent customer service standards, handle customer inquiries, feedback, and complaints, ensuring a positive dining experience.
- Assist in budget planning, cost control measures, and financial analysis to optimize profitability.
- Manage relationships with suppliers and vendors, negotiating contracts, and ensuring timely deliveries of quality products at competitive prices.
- Conduct ongoing training programs for staff, emphasizing food safety, service standards, and professional development.
- Work with the Army Contracting Officer and the Quality Control Officer to ensure food service requirements are adhered to.
- Follow the proper procedures to provide food service support within the scope by having the proper administration procedures in place (Letter of Technical Direction and Notice To Proceed procedures).
- Address operational issues promptly, troubleshoot equipment problems, and resolve conflicts within the team or with customers.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Basic Qualifications (Required Education, Experience, Skills, and Certifications)
- Requires a High School Diploma and at least 5 years of Food Service experience.
- Must have at least 3 years of leadership/supervisory/management experience.
- Advanced education in the Food Services field is strongly preferred.
- Must be familiar with AR 30-22, TB Med 530, DA PAM 30-22, DoD 1338.10-M and ATP 4-41.
- Must have knowledge of AFMIS and STORES applications.
- Must have a ServSafe Manager’s Certification.
- Requires a valid passport with at least 12 months of validity and 6 blank pages.
