Program Summary
KBR leads the government services world contingency market by providing responsive, full-service logistics support to forces deployed around the world under the Logistics Civil Augmentation Program contract (LOGCAP). KBR’s enduring mission support of the LOGCAP program dates back to 1992 when we served as the contract’s original prime contractor. Today, we have a workforce of over 6,000 people representing 40 nationalities who perform work on the contract in 10 countries.
Job Summary
As an Electrician, under direct supervision, you would be assigned daily work. May explain instructions and documentation to plan work activities. Help coordinate movement of materials and equipment to work locations and set up work site. Complete and review records, maintain tools and equipment, and perform various clean up activities. Job may require moderate to heavy lifting. Observe and follow all safety rules and procedures, including wearing required personal safety equipment.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Reports to and receives assignments, instructions, and direction from the Electrical Journeyman or General Foreman.
- Reads and interprets instructions and documentation and plans work activities.
- Conducts preventive maintenance inspections to ensure electrical distribution systems comply with British Standard and NEC code requirements and standards.
- Maintains, repairs, and replaces or installs a broad range of electrical equipment and support systems in support of plant construction and maintenance activities.
- Completes records, maintains tools and equipment, and performs various clean-up and housekeeping activities.
- Observes and follows all safety rules and procedures, including wearing required personal safety equipment.
- Ability to install wiring, to British Standard / NEC wiring regulations maintain and repair a wide range of electrical equipment.
- Conduct inspections of electrical systems, record results and submit them in proper format.
- Provide good housekeeping, keeping job sites clean.
- Possess an ability to work with all types of power and hand tools safely and effectively.
- Follow safety procedures and maintain a safe work environment.
- Work both indoors, often in confined spaces, and outdoors in all weather.
- Work well under reduced time constraints.
- Follow oral and written instructions.
- Performs other duties and activities as directed.
Basic Qualifications (Required Education, Experience, Skills, and Certifications)
- Requires a high school diploma or equivalent and 2 years of experience.
- Host country further education diploma in electrical principles
- Possess a valid light vehicle operator’s license.
- Must be Kosovo citizen.
Preferred Qualifications (Preferred Education, Experience, Skills, and Certifications)
- Knowledge of British Standard and National Electrical Code (NEC) current code regulations.
- English Language will be an advantage.
- Prior experience on LOGCAP projects is preferred.
