Program Summary
KBR leads the government services world contingency market by providing responsive, full-service logistics support to forces deployed around the world under the Logistics Civil Augmentation Program contract (LOGCAP). KBR’s enduring mission support of the LOGCAP program dates back to 1992 when we served as the contract’s original prime contractor. Today, we have a workforce of over 6,000 people representing 40 nationalities who perform work on the contract in 10 countries.
Job Summary
Receives emergency calls and gathers relevant information from the caller to direct emergency response personnel and resources to the exact location of the emergency and provide responding personnel with as much information as possible as to best respond. Requires a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent and knowledge of two-way radio and telephone operating procedures. This is an entry-level position.
Roles and Responsibilities
Dispatchers perform a full range of radio and telephone operational duties in this 24-hour facility.
Dispatchers are required to process and prioritize incoming calls for fire and emergency services.
Receive emergency calls from the public requesting fire, medical or other emergency services.
Determine the nature and location of the emergency; determine priorities, and dispatch fire, ambulance or other emergency units as necessary and in accordance with established procedures.
Receive and process 911 emergency calls, maintain contact with all units on assignment, maintain status and location of fire and emergency services units.
Monitor direct emergency alarms, answer non-emergency calls for assistance.
Enter, update and retrieve information from a variety of computer systems.
Monitor several complex public safety radio frequencies.
Operate a variety of communications equipment, including radio consoles, telephones and computer systems.

This position requires alternating hours and shift work. Must be fluent in English and be able to read, write and verbally communicate; must have knowledge of computer operations, word processing, data retrieval, data entry.
Must have the ability to communicate clearly, concisely and articulately via phone and radio.
Must be able to multi-task with radio and phone communications, follow basic instructions, and use sound judgment to make decisions under stress.
Basic Qualifications (Required Education, Experience, Skills, and Certifications)
High School Diploma or Equivalent
Must be fluent in a English Level (Speaking, Writing and Reading) proficient to the Level of the position.
Must be able to possess a driver’s license with-in 1 year
Must be able to obtain preferred experience and certifications through DoD and other related web-based training provided by CBS Fire and Emergency Services
Must be Kosovo citizen

DoD, IFSAC, or Pro Board Telecommunicator I & II
DoD, IFSAC, or Pro Board HAZMAT Awareness
FEMA ICS 100, 200, 700 and 800
