Role OverviewAs a
Technician Specialist, you will be an integral part of our missile assembly and testing teams. You will fabricate, assemble, and test complex systems while collaborating closely with engineers and other technicians. This role offers hands-on work with advanced systems, precision instruments, and a variety of assembly and test operations.

Key Duties & ResponsibilitiesIn this role, you will:
• Fabricate, assemble, and test complex assemblies/subsystems into missile systems.
• Inspect and inventory parts to ensure compliance with work instructions and specifications.
• Measure and verify dimensions using precision instruments.
• Align, fit, and assemble components using hand tools and fixtures.
• Set up and operate test equipment to evaluate part and system performance under simulated conditions.
• Support assembly, subsystem testing, environmental testing, and pack & ship operations.
• Collaborate with engineers and team members to identify, define, and solve technical challenges.
• Contribute to Continuous Process Improvement initiatives and mentor/cooperate with team members.

Basic Qualifications:To excel in this role, you must:• Be proficient in assembly, integration, and test operations.
• Be skilled at reading and interpreting work instructions, schematics, engineering drawings, wiring lists, sketches, and other technical documentation.
• Be able to work day or night shifts onsite in Courtland, AL.
• Be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
Desired Skills:While not required, the following skills will set you apart:• Expertise in adhesives and bonding materials.
• Proficiency in cable harness fabrication and repair.
• Strong soldering skills.
• Experience in crane operations, lifting, and handling.
• Knowledge of the missile ground processing life cycle for launch/mission prep.
• Skilled in general test equipment and environmental test operations.
• Proficient in the use of standard hand tools and test/measurement equipment (multi-meters, scales, torque wrenches).
• Ordnance handling experience.
• Graduation from AIDT (Alabama Industrial Development Training) is a plus.
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
