Role OverviewWe’re seeking a
Senior Systems Integration & Test Engineer to lead and execute complex system integration and test activities for a high-visibility SMD program. In this role, you will be a technical driver—planning test campaigns, integrating hardware and software systems, solving complex engineering challenges, and ensuring safe, successful execution of test operations.
This is a hands-on, high-impact role ideal for engineers who thrive in fast-paced environments and enjoy turning intricate system designs into verified, mission-ready hardware.
Work Schedule: Sunday–Wednesday, 6:00 AM – 4:30 PMKey Duties & Responsibilities• Plan and execute system-level and sub-assembly-level integration and test activities.
• Serve as a technical resource for troubleshooting mechanical, electronic, and software-related issues.
• Support and apply Test Conductor processes, including error prevention, safety practices, data acquisition, and instrumentation procedures.
• Integrate and test lab, ground, and flight hardware across domains such as missiles, launch vehicles, spacecraft, or aircraft.
• Utilize and integrate COTS equipment, Ground Support Equipment (GSE), and the latest Test & Measurement Equipment (T&ME).
• Employ Automation Framework tools and contribute to continuous improvement of test processes.
• Collaborate across multi-disciplinary teams and coordinate with internal and external partners.
• Support occasional alternate shifts and travel as required by program needs.
Work Environment• Fast-paced, collaborative engineering environment supporting mission-critical hardware.
• Hands-on integration and testing with advanced aerospace systems.
• Requires on-site presence in Courtland, Alabama with a structured
Sunday–Wednesday, 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM schedule.
• Occasional alternate shifts or travel may be required depending on test operations.
Basic Qualifications:Candidates must meet all requirements• Experience performing assembly and/or sub-assembly level testing.
• Willingness and ability to work extended hours, off-shifts, and weekends as required.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance (U.S. citizenship required).
Desired Skills:“Nice-to-have” skills that strengthen candidacy• Current Lockheed Martin Certified Test Conductor (CTC) certification or equivalent.
• Working knowledge and hands-on experience with Automation Framework tools.
• Proficiency in software languages such as Python, Perl, TML3, JSON, etc.
• Experience integrating shipboard systems or similar complex platforms.
• Demonstrated ability to deliver tasks on time and within budget.
• Experience implementing test best practices and leveraging lessons learned to improve processes.
• Strong leadership, communication, and collaboration skills with teams of diverse disciplines.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field (preferred).
• Experience serving as an informal or formal team or project lead.
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
