The Catalog and Reporting Manager will be responsible for managing the product catalog and reporting functions for the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) Full Line Food Service Distribution for Southwest Asian and Eastern Africa (SWAEA) program. This role involves overseeing the creation, maintenance, and accuracy of the customer ordering catalog, as well as generating and analyzing reports that support decision-making and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, maintain, and update the customer ordering catalog to ensure accurate and comprehensive information on food items available for submission to DLA.
- Collaborate with suppliers and internal teams to ensure the timely addition of new products and removal of obsolete items from the catalog.
- Implement processes to ensure the accuracy and integrity of catalog data, including product specifications, pricing, and availability.
- Conduct regular audits of the catalog to identify discrepancies and implement corrective actions.
- Generate and distribute regular reports on inventory levels, product performance, and sales trends to support strategic decision-making.
- Analyze data to identify opportunities for cost savings, efficiency improvements, and inventory optimization.
- Work closely with operations, logistics, and procurement teams to understand their reporting needs and ensure the catalog aligns with operational requirements.
- Serve as a liaison between internal stakeholders and external suppliers to facilitate communication and data exchange.
- Oversee the management of catalog and reporting software systems, ensuring they meet organizational needs and are utilized effectively.
- Work with IT teams to troubleshoot technical issues and implement enhancements to improve catalog and reporting functionalities.
- Provide training and support to staff on the use of catalog and reporting systems, ensuring they are equipped to access and utilize data effectively.
- Develop user guides and documentation to assist with onboarding and ongoing training initiatives.
- Identify opportunities to streamline catalog management and reporting processes through automation and best practices.
- Lead initiatives to enhance the overall efficiency and accuracy of catalog and reporting activities.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Data Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in catalog management, reporting, or data analysis in the logistics or food service industry.
- Knowledge of inventory management principles and practices.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret and present data effectively.
- Proficient in catalog management systems, reporting tools, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain facility credentials/authorization.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience with DLA policies and procedures.
